Dar Matushki is Ussuran for "the Mother's Touch." It is the native sorcery of Ussura. Like the magics of Avalon and the Sarmation Commonwealth it power given to humans by an outside source. Matuskha, the most powerful of the Leshiye, Ussura's nature spirits, at times finds and grants power with a touch. These gifts come with a price, with lessons that must be learned and followed if you wish to keep them. These gifts include the ability to take on an animal shape, speak with and control animals, to see through the eyes of animals, to regenerate your injuries, to mend broken objects, to cast a cleansing light, to remove poisons and diseases from others, to call or calm storms, and to revive the recently deceased.
